Alan Loewinsohn

Alan Loewinsohn

Alan Loewinsohn redefines the meaning of service for those he represents.

It is no coincidence that WIN is part of Alan’s last name since that is what he has been doing for 42 years.  His first trial victory was only six months after he passed the Bar and he has continued that winning tradition throughout his career.

Alan’s successes—both in and out of the courtroom—have garnered him accolades from clients and distinguished members of the legal community throughout the nation.  Most recently, Alan has been named the 2022 Lawyer of the Year in the category of Bet-the-Company Litigation for the Dallas/Ft. Worth area by the prestigious ranking service, The Best Lawyers in America.  This recognition is awarded to the lawyer that received the highest peer-reviewed feedback.  In 2019, 2021, and 2022, Alan was ranked for Litigation in General Commercial Law by Chambers USA, which is often referred to as the “gold standard” worldwide ranking service.  In 2020, as in past years, Alan was named as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in the State of Texas, based on peer evaluations.

Alan has also been named a Member of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers, and winning the #1 spot for the Elite Trial Lawyers award, based on research by VerdictSearch, The National Law Journal, and

Alan was also named among the inaugural class of “The Defenders” by The Dallas Business Journal. This elite designation recognizes the most brilliant legal minds in the Dallas/Fort Worth area—an honor bestowed upon only 15 lawyers for their notable work in commercial defense litigation.

Alan’s expertise includes such complex areas of the law as construction litigation, real estate, contracts, partnerships, wind farm-related litigation, securities, class actions, oil and gas, sports litigation, insurance, intellectual property, professional liability and fraud disputes, wrongful death, and product liability claims.

Over the years, Alan has earned a reputation not only for his legal astuteness but also for his tireless dedication to successfully and aggressively representing the interests of his clients on both sides of the docket.

Alan’s wins have come on both sides of the docket.  On the plaintiff side, Alan recently obtained a verdict in excess of $2 billion—the largest such verdict in Texas probate court history and the 9th largest in United States history in any case and the 3rd largest fraud verdict in United States history, also earning it the #1 spot in both the 2020 and 2021 Texas Verdicts Hall of Fame. On the defense side, Alan recently obtained for the defendant a summary judgment dismissing all claims, which was upheld on appeal, where the plaintiff was seeking in excess of $80 million in damages.
